Andrew S. Miller
Managing Principal
Following graduation from the University of Denver with an accounting degree, Andy worked as a CPA for the international accounting firm of Coopers & Lybrand.
In 1980, he joined with four other partners as Loup-Miller Development Company, which designed and developed shopping centers, apartment communities, office buildings and warehouses across the United States including in the cities of Tampa, Orlando, New Orleans, Dallas, Chicago, Phoenix, Tucson, Albuquerque, and Denver.
After the real estate debacle of the 1980s, Andy co-founded Sevo Miller, Inc., in 1990. The company provided workout services for major financial institutions throughout the country, and also began buying and developing apartments, retail and office properties. From its founding to the present, the company’s acquisitions totaled over 25,000 apartment units, several million square feet of retail space, and numerous office projects throughout the country including the states of Colorado, Arizona, California, Nevada, Illinois, Texas, Louisiana, Indiana, Oklahoma, Georgia and Florida.
Employing over 500 people, Sevo Miller also built, managed, marketed, leased and sold commercial real estate for many institutions and third-party owners across the country. Clients included General Electric Credit, SunAmerica, and Huntington Bank, as well as many defunct banks, savings and loans, and private equity groups.
In 1994, Andy and David Frishman co-founded Realty Funding Group, a mortgage and finance company that has acted as a mortgage broker and mortgage banker for numerous commercial real estate projects across the U.S. RFG has provided financing for over $1 billion dollars of commercial real estate.
In 1998, Andy founded Rapid Funding, a commercial and residential hard money lender that has loaned in excess of $200 million for land developments, shopping centers, office buildings and construction loans on condominium buildings. In addition to sourcing and servicing real estate loans, Rapid Funding also handled its own workouts and sales.
Each of these companies founded or co-founded by Andy now operates as part of the Miller Frishman Group.

David S. Frishman
Managing Principal
David Frishman is the co-founder and managing principal of the Miller Frishman Group. He is responsible for developing the company's deal origination and managing its capital relationships.
David has 32 years of real estate investment banking and development experience, including acquiring, developing and financing apartment complexes, shopping centers, office buildings and residential land throughout the United States. During his career he has overseen a real estate investment portfolio in excess of $2 billion.
David is also a founding member of Johnson Capital Special Servicing (JCSS). Formed in 2008 as a joint venture between Miller Frishman Group and Johnson Capital, JCSS is a loan workout platform offering asset management, property and construction management, note sales and brokerage services to financial institutions with troubled commercial real estate loans.
As the President and co-founding member of Realty Funding Group in 1993 (now operating as Miller Frishman Group), David supervised the negotiations of acquisition, development, and equity financing for multifamily and commercial properties throughout the country. The firm established a strategic partnership with Green Park Financial (Fannie Mae), and represents institutional and private capital nationwide.
As a managing principal of Sevo Miller Frishman LLC, David was responsible for the acquisition and disposition of approximately 12,500 multifamily units across the country. The majority of these properties were purchased on a distressed basis, repositioned and sold.
An accounting graduate of the University of Illinois College of Business and Commerce, David's career has included various senior executive positions. He was an investment banker with The Abacus Group (Heller Financial Inc.) and Focus Real Estate Finance Co., and was a principal with a Denver-based shopping center development company prior to forming the various entities with Andrew Miller that are now the Miller Frishman Group. |
Daniel J. Feiner
Vice President
Mr. Feiner is the Vice President of Miller Frishman Group (formerly Realty Funding Group, LLC), a Denver based real estate acquisition and investment banking company. Organized in 1993, the firm specializes in acquisition, development, and equity financing, as well as dispositions for multifamily and commercial properties throughout the country. Miller Frishman Group has a joint venture with Fannie Mae, and represents institutional and private capital nationwide. In the past year Mr. Feiner has sold in excess of 1,600 multifamily units totaling over $100MM of direct transactions.
Mr. Feiner is also a founding member of Johnson Capital Special Servicing (JCSS). Formed in 2008 as a joint venture between Miller Frishman Group and Johnson Capital, JCSS is a loan workout platform offering asset management, property and construction management, note sales and brokerage services to financial institutions with troubled commercial real estate loans.
In addition, Mr. Feiner is a Principal of Realty Funding Advisors (RFA). Launched in 2006, RFA is the manager of the Strategic Real Estate Investors structured finance funds, providing mezzanine debt and preferred equity for commercial and residential real estate opportunities.
Prior to his current position, Mr. Feiner underwrote in excess of $5B of commercial real estate transactions for AIG Global Investment Group’s Mortgage Lending and Real Estate division. Mr. Feiner worked to directly issued over $500MM of commercial mortgages held for portfolio, and helped to establish and implement AIG’s CMBS issuance program.
Prior to his position with AIG, Mr. Feiner worked in development management for Forest City Residential West. Mr. Feiner aided in the feasibility analysis, financial underwriting, entitlement, construction and turnover of over 2,000 multifamily units in the California urban in-fill markets, in particular revitalizing the urban core of downtown Los Angeles.
Mr. Feiner is a graduate of the University of California – Los Angeles with a B.A. in Economics. Mr. Feiner is actively involved in the community, and is a sponsor of several local and national humanitarian causes. |
Brian G. Stein
Vice President
Mr. Stein is a Vice President at the Miller Frishman Group, a Denver based real estate acquisition and investment banking company organized in 1993 (formerly known as “Sevo Miller”). His responsibilities include sourcing, analyzing and executing upon the firm’s acquisition strategies, primarily in Retail and Multifamily properties. Mr. Stein is also integrally involved in the firm’s Property Management activities.
Prior to joining Miller Frishman in July 2007, Mr. Stein was the President of Pinnacle Capital Partners, a hedge fund focused on public equity and debt investments across a wide spectrum of market capitalizations and sectors. Pinnacle’s returns consistently outpaced the market indices since the fund’s inception in 2003.
Prior to Pinnacle Capital Partners, Mr. Stein worked as an investment banking Associate at ING Barings, LLC in New York City. Mr. Stein was active in sourcing and executing equity offerings and M&A advisory work for a variety of companies in the media and technology-services sectors.
Prior to his position with ING Barings, Mr. Stein was a Senior Accountant with Deloitte & Touche LLP in New York City. Mr. Stein worked in both the Audit and Mergers & Acquisitions practices serving clients such as Merrill Lynch, The Blackstone Group, Bessemer Trust, and Coty Cosmetics. Mr. Stein is a CPA.
Mr. Stein holds a MS degree in Real Estate and Construction Management from the Burns School at the University of Denver. Mr. Stein obtained his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan with emphases in Accounting and Psychology. Mr. Stein’s community involvements include the Anti Defamation League and Denver’s Civic Center Conservancy where he is the Treasurer and a board member. |
